We do not source from Rwanda. We represent it. These are the cooperatives whose names appear on every bag we import - not as a marketing footnote, but as the primary identity of the coffee.

ABAKUNDAKAWA

Abakundakawa cooperative farmers hand-pick ripe cherries on the volcanic slopes of Rwanda’s mountainous Gakenke district. The area’s distinct micro-climate, high elevation and rich volcanic soils contribute to producing coffee with balanced sweet, floral, and fruit-forward notes in the cup. Abakundakawa has grown rapidly, adding a second washing station and expanding its membership from 180 to nearly 2,000 coffee growers since its founding in 2004s

How we verify every payment

1

Cooperative purchase record

The cooperative provides a signed record of the price paid per kilogram at the farm gate.

2

NAEB Government letter

Rwanda's National Agricultural Export Development Board issues a verification letter confirming the payment against their published national minimum.

3

National benchmark comparison

We publish the NAEB national average alongside our payment so roasters can see exactly how much above the minimum their purchase represents.
